Three numbers, and none of them is a percentage of your food.

$10.00 a month to be on Hatch. $2.00 an order. Card processing at cost. Nothing on your tips.

OrderGuest paysHatchCardYou keep
A $9 lunch$11.00$2.00$0.62$8.38
A $34 dinner for two$36.00$2.00$1.34$32.66
A $200 catering order$202.00$2.00$6.16$193.84

Tax is excluded from the example so the arithmetic is visible; on a real order it is collected on the food and passed through to you. Card processing is Stripe’s standard rate and varies slightly by card — Hatch does not mark it up.

Why a flat fee

A percentage punishes you for selling something expensive. The work Hatch does is the same whether the basket is nine dollars or two hundred, so the price is the same. A caterer and a coffee window pay identically.

Why a monthly fee at all

Because $2.00 an order does not pay for a marketplace on its own, and the alternative is taking a cut of your food. The first 30 days are free, and cancelling takes two taps — your menu and your history stay exactly as they are.
